Job Description

Integrated Business Planning team at Western Digital Corporation is a team of Supply Chain professionals supporting both internal business teams as well as Strategic and Channel customers. Client SSD Demand planning resides as a part of Integrated Business Planning department within the Flash Ops and Supply Chain organization

Manager, Client SSD Demand planning will have oversight of the Client+ product segment, catering to the Client SSD, PC Embedded and Connected Home customers, and will train and develop Operations Rotation Engineers (OREs)

Demand Planning analysts own the generation and analysis of Ops demand plan (CSF) in alignment with financial outlook, sales forecast and supply chain constraints, by collaborating with Business Management and Planning (BMP), Sales and Marketing, Business Ops and various supply chain planning teams to meet the customer demand and company’s revenue goals

 

Responsibilities

• Develop Ops demand plan (CSF) by collaborating with Business, Sales and POM teams to meet company’s revenue goals

–Work with Business Management and Planning (BMP) for customer and product allocation decisions based on strategic importance and financials

–Lead weekly sales calls to get latest customer demand updates that influence Ops demand

–Determine initial sample builds, LVM and ramp volumes for new products

–Manage ops demand to support product transitions and manage EOL planning

•Align with product planning and silicon planning teams to review the available supply (memory, controllers, BGA, etc.) and shape the Ops demand as needed

•Analyze and optimize the Ops demand plan to meet the customer and business requirements, while adhering to the supply constraints

•Collaborate with VMI planning team to support Hub inventory and pulls

•Provide support in analysis and execution of different demand scenarios to aid in decision making

•Lead weekly and monthly demand review meetings with BMP and various supply teams, provide insights and drive key decisions; Generate required reports

•Measure and track order fill rate by products and accounts, and highlight opportunities and risks to BMP/Ops management as needed

•Manage Ops demand (CSF) in i2 DM for strategic OEM and channel customers

•Oversee all Client SSD accounts, and, train and develop Operations Rotation Engineers (OREs)

Qualifications

Minimum qualification: Bachelors in Industrial Engineering/Supply Chain with 5 years of experience in a supply chain function

Preferred qualification: Masters in Industrial Engineering/Supply Chain or MBA with a minimum 3 years of experience in a supply chain function

Knowledge and Skills Required

·Strong analytical and reasoning skills

·Strong systems skills; desktop applications, Tier 1 ERP (Oracle, SAP), and Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) experience

·Proficient in Excel and Tableau reporting

·Strong written and verbal communication skills

·Ability to communicate effectively with all business and sales stakeholders

·Supervisory or managerial experience preferred, but not necessary

·Semiconductor industry experience preferred
