Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To establish and execute commodity strategy based on required technology, know-how, suppliers’ capability for quality, manufacturing and business commitment with financial stability
  • To align commodity strategy among stakeholders like SQE, Core Team, Development etc to plan and execute commodity strategy
  • To maintain good and healthy relationship with suppliers
  • To promote cost reduction through cost analysis (Should cost) and/or negotiation to get the competitive cost and meet company requirement
  • To secure suppliers manufacturing capacity to meet WDC demand and upside flexibility

Qualifications

REQUIRED:    

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Industrial engineering, Mechanical engineering or related field
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in HDD industry or related field
  • Skilled in PowerPoint, Excel and other basic Microsoft office
  • Understanding on business concepts, PDCA cycle and processes
  • Be able to work under pressure, take a coordinator role in project, planning and implementation, effectively work independently as well as a team
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with a great degree of autonomy

PREFERRED:

  • Previous experience as commodity manager in Electronics/HDD industry

SKILLS:

  • Demonstrate a good level of English proficiency (written / verbal)
  • Logical thinking and analytical skills
  • Strong listening, communication, interpersonal and relational skills to develop a good relationship within the organization
