West Lexham is the one of the UK’s most innovative retreat centres. Currently we focus on hiring our events rooms and barn/cottage bedrooms for retreats, away days, festival weddings and our treehouses and bell tents for holidays. We have 22 acres with a boating lake, river, swimming pool, tennis court, and both formal and wild gardens. We are run on social enterprise principles, renewable energy, built on upcycled materials with top design as a key USP.

About to start major game changing project, building a large kitchen garden to supply food for our new restaurant/cafe. This new building will also include a library, reception, shop, outside amphitheatre, offices and staff room. We are also putting in a gym, sauna, hot tub and treatment rooms.

We are gearing up to provide educational courses, to become a ‘content and ethos’ based destination. We will curate content such as short courses, yoga & meditation, talks and kids’ activities. Nothing quite like this has yet been done in the UK, so we are looking for a pioneering Sales and Marketing Executive who can give us a voice.

The role

As Sales and Marketing Executive, you will be responsible for:

  • The development and delivery of the Sales & Marketing plan to drive occupancy.
  • Multi channel and Paid Social Media Marketing.
  • Maintaining the website, Paid Search strategy, SEO and updating all third-party listings.
  • Collecting & analysing data to underpin strategy with objective insights (Inc. cross channel reporting, budget management and KPIs)
  • Building the brand online and with PR, social media and internal & external events.
  • Writing blogs, assisting in making videos, and writing newsletters.
  • Creating fresh content, using photography and graphic design skills.
  • Networking skills on and offline to build the tribe around what we are doing.
  • Understanding and appreciation of wellness orientated lifestyle.
  • Creating and converting enquiries through keen commercial acumen.
  • Filling our own events and courses.

The Person

We are looking for a Sales and Marketing Executive who:

  • is strong at long term planning and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • has a passion and natural affinity for social media.

  • is a confident communicator in person and through strong and engaging writing skills.
  • has at least a fledgling interest in personal development
