Job Description

Sales Managers are the guiding force of the Werner Brokerage Division. As a Carrier Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of Carrier Sales Representatives, who are charged with developing new carrier relationships and growing business. Our Sales Managers are multi-talented individuals, responsible for building and maintaining a personal book of business, while helping their team of Sales Representatives learn the industry and grooming them to become master negotiators. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to multitask. We are looking for high energy, enthusiastic workers that are confident in their decision making and have experience in leading a successful team in the transportation industry.

Sales Managers are responsible for helping their team achieve their monthly performance goals and providing leadership that allows them to further themselves as professionals.

Qualifications

  • Strong desire to learn and work in a fast-paced, energetic environment
  • 2-5 years of transportation experience is preferred
  • Driven and competitive nature with strong problem solving abilities

  • Accountable to achieve monthly sales revenue/margin goals
  • Find and maintain current book of business
  • Helping your team build new customer relationships
  • Managing an assigned sales team and facilitating personnel development
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • Sales and negotiation experience
