Your Role
You will join an agile organisation of 20 teams who jointly work together on a common mission to build a reliable marketplace where tradespeople find quality jobs and homeowners hire quality tradespeople.
As part of our four platform teams the Technical Product Manager for the Cloud Infrastructure team will guide the team of experienced engineers with mixed backgrounds towards realising the team’s mission:
- to enable our engineers to deliver high-quality products and services to our end-users;
- to ensure a good user experience for our end-users by providing solid and reliable infrastructure for our products and services.
Responsibilities
As a Technical Product Manager of the team, you will:
- Promote the purpose of the Cloud Infrastructure team across the organisation.
- Together with the team, define the long-term strategy for our infrastructure and how it’s used by other teams to support our business.
- Drive the execution of the strategy, monitor the team’s progress, and evaluate the impact of initiatives the team is working on.
- Set OKRs, aligning with other teams and stakeholders.
- Communicate the strategy, status, and progress of the team OKR and initiatives to management and stakeholders.
- Help the team identify priorities based on user and business needs, and find the right balance between operations and solutions.
- Define and communicate the requirements and expectations for changes and releases.
- Share relevant context and data with the team to promote data-driven decision making in the team
- Contribute to creating a safe environment for the empowered team
Qualifications
- You have technical background: you understand systems architecture on a high level, you have basic knowledge in the domain of (cloud) infrastructure and security, and you are aware of tools and practices in these domains and their value for the business.
- You understand the principles of product management; ideally, you have product management experience or have worked as a product owner.
- You’ve worked with teams that deliver technical products or services (e.g., infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, developer experience, developer infrastructure)
- You are data-driven and have strong analytical skills.
- You have attention to detail. At the same time, you are able to see the big picture and think strategically.
- You have a lean mindset and have worked in agile product development environments
- You are a team player, you work well together with people of different backgrounds
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
