Senior UX Designer

  • Full-time

Company Description

Did you ever hire a professional to remodel your kitchen, or paint your living room? Ever thought that could be so much easier? Then you might be the UX Designer we’re looking for to improve our consumer experience!

Werkspot.nl is on a mission. An international mission to be the easiest and most reliable way to arrange home services, connecting homeowners with qualified craftsmen. We are the market leader in The Netherlands and are on our way to become just as big across the Dutch borders with our international brands Instapro (Italy) and Travaux (FR). So far, we’ve processed over 2 million service requests, grew our network to around 12.000 craftsmen and we’re proud to see these numbers grow every day.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced UX Designer to join our Consumer Matching track. You’ll be the go-to person to make sure that consumers will find the right Service Professional to help them with their house. As a dedicated part of the Scrum team, you will collaborate closely with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, developers and data scientist to create a delightful experience for our Dutch, Italian and French users. You’ll take ownership of the entire design process within your Scrum team, from user research to the UI design.

  • Strong skills in user research, design thinking, UX, interaction design, prototyping and UI design.

We believe our success starts with one thing: we all share the same 7 core values when it comes to how we work. These values are the foundation of everything we do and you’ll feel them all around you.  We collaborate and work together. We aim high and challenge ourselves. Everyone takes ownership and feels responsible. Transparency and respect are at the heart of our culture. Politics are not for you? Then this is your tribe. We celebrate achievements and compliment each other (not just once a year ;)). We all believe in our mission at Werkspot. The company culture at Werkspot is very open and inclusive; everybody is welcome.

How we are organized

Our Product and Technology department currently consists of 5 tracks and 51 professionals, from all over the world: Brasil, India, Greece, Ireland, Israel, Italy, the Netherlands, South Africa, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Spain, Turkey, the UK and the USA. Each track focuses on a part of our customer journey. Within the tracks, multidisciplinary Scrum teams collaborate on achieving the objectives that we set and commit to each quarter. Tracks define the ‘what’, so to say. We also collaborate closely with our fellow experts in our guild to define the ‘how’. We approach our decisions in an experiment driven way: we validate new directions using a variety of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
