The Opportunity
We have an internship position for a Technical Business Analyst within the Engineering team at Wellthi Technologies.
Location
Remote or our Washington DC WeWork HQ.
You will get to work across multiple products where you will have the opportunity to grow your experience in breaking down complex business problems into workable development chunks and translating Tech-speak into ordinary everyday English.
There is plenty of scope to raise your skills across multiple disciplines; distilling requirements, negotiation, crafting succinct technical documentation, and running workshops and show cases to name a few. The intern will be working directly with the C-suite team and have the opportunity to create an impact on our products.
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in all phases of the project including analysis, design, development, testing, user training, change management and implementation.
- Write requirements and user stories that are succinct and have the relevant detail to ensure the velocity of the team is kept at a maximum.
- Work together with development team to achieve alignment and highlight issues to the Development Manager when applicable.
- Participate in all agile ceremonies and on some occasions facilitate agile ceremonies, remove blockers and perform some other tasks typically aligned to a scrum master from time to time.
- Conducts change impact analysis to assess the potential implications of changes and documents court business rules, functions and requirements.
- Ensures the team is ready to accept the work into the release team by inspecting the quality of functional requirements for release or iteration planning (e.g., business requirements use cases, stories, etc.).
- Participates in user acceptance testing and testing of new system functionality.
Qualifications
To be successful you will have the following:
- Appropriate degree and/or industry qualifications and certifications.
- Ideally, at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- A strong understanding or experience of web-based technologies is highly favourable.
- Strong technical acumen to think critically and converse with technical architects and developers.
- Ability to negotiate without being adversarial.
- Empathy for the customer experience, as well as data analysis, should inform all decision making.
- Perform duties independently under general, minimal supervision within specific assignments.
- Research, analyse and make recommendations on administrative, management and procedural practices and other complex business problems.
- Write logical, comprehensive, concise reports and correspondence.
- Communicate effectively orally and in writing using language understandable to management and employees.
- Acquire subject matter expertise in the business functions and activities.
- Use troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Utilise time management skills and multi-tasking capabilities.
- Develop and document business and processes, functions and procedures.
