Our client is looking for a contract JavaScript Software Developer with Azure experience to work with a solution architect and client-side developers to develop a greenfield mobile application. The JavaScript software developer will be responsible for designing and building the database and middle-tier business logic exposing them through secure APIs. The ideal developer has developed backend services and understands database and software architecture, they sweat the details ensuring their APIs are performant and secure. This is an opportunity to work with a cross-discipline team developing a mobile application that encourages learning through gamification. 

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering
• Strong knowledge of Node JS and of database commands, web app performance, web app statefulness and web security
• Familiarity with design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
• Experience building for cloud technologies (Azure preferred)
• Experience building web APIs
• Comfortable in a fast-paced and dynamic environmen
