Job Description

Our client is one of the largest streaming Movie/TV content providers in the world. Their shows and programs are globally and critically lauded serving over a hundred countries. They are looking to expand their software engineering team in Seattle to further improve their customers' experience.

In this role, you will: 

  • Recognize and adopt best practices in data warehousing and business intelligence: design, testing, version control, documentation, build, deployment, and operations.
  • Write high quality, maintainable, and robust code, often in SQL, PL/SQL, or MDX.
  • Recognize and use design patterns to solve business problems.
  • Own the design, development, and maintenance of scalable/automated/user-friendly back and front-end systems to support ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. which drive key business decisions.
  • Have an understanding and empathy for business objectives, and continually align your work with those objectives and seek to deliver business value.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics or related technical field 
  • 5+ years’ industry experience in data modeling, ETL development, and Data Warehousing
  • Previous experience working as a Data Engineer, Business Intelligence Engineer or Data Scientist with a track record of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large datasets
  • Proficient in SQL/Postgres SQL, and Excel

  • Proven ETL experience
  • Personalization targeting
  • Tech stack:  PostGres, AWS based, Segment distribution tool, Athena,
  • Top 3 Skills: AWS S3 lambda, PostGres, Solid ETL skills and understand how to set up a data pipeline
