Job Description

The Finance Analyst is mainly responsible for the institute’s accounts payable and procurement functions, credit control and month close prepayments/accruals.

Main responsibilities of the role are:

  • Process all supplier invoices/staff claims in accordance with the Institute’s Delegation of Authority matrix and ensure that correct project codes are applied in coding the invoices/staff claims
  • Process Purchase Requisitions, Purchase orders and other procurement documents in a timely manner and in accordance with the Institute’s policies
  • Develop regular management reports to provide insights on spent on respective suppliers
  • Maintain database of trainers’ agreements as support for invoice payments
  • Prepare spreadsheet to capture revenue vs capital spending when necessary 
  • Prepare month close prepayments and accruals schedule 
  • Assist with AR collections and apply receipts to debtor balances
  • Assist with small number of client billings when necessary
  • Update daily bank book balance
  • Assist with any other initiatives / tasks as assigned 

Qualifications

  • Minimum LCCI Higher Accounting or equivalent with at least 5 years of relevant working experience. 
  • Possess good organizational ability and is a quick learner.
  • Prior experience working in a charity and / or training institute will be advantageous
  • Familiar with internal controls 
  • Resourceful and able to work in an unstructured, small team environment.
