Job Details

We are looking for a conceptual creative leader (~10 years of experience) with exceptional art direction craft who still gets their hands dirty; prototyping in Figma, working with code, and building with Gemini tools. Your job is to lead a high-performing team to create breakthrough social storytelling in the AI era, starting with a major product launch. If you thrive in fast, fluid environments, can hold your own with both execs and engineers, and aren't afraid to push past what feels possible; we want to talk.

About the Role

In this role you will be sitting directly inside the client's team. You'll function as an integrated creative and strategic lead, owning end-to-end creative direction for social content in the AI product space. You'll work closely with product marketers, engineers, and executive stakeholders to define what social storytelling looks like in the AI era.

The first major assignment: show up at the client's flagship launch moment in a way that breaks through. That means moving fast, thinking big, and building real things.

What You'll Do

  • Set creative vision and strategy for social-first storytelling across AI product launches and cultural moments

  • Lead and mentor a small, senior cross-functional team:  creative directors, strategists, and producers; with clarity and conviction

  • Prototype and build concepts hands-on; you sketch alongside the team, not just above it

  • Own the client relationship at a senior level: present ideas, defend creative decisions, and earn trust with both execs and engineers

  • Drive concepts from insight to execution, fast ; this team doesn't wait for perfect

  • Identify AI-native formats and content opportunities before they become obvious

  • Navigate ambiguity and turn it into a creative advantage

The Bar We're Hiring To

We are looking for candidates who hit both of the following:

  • Taste bar: Portfolio-level art direction craft, and conceptual originality at a senior creative level

  • Tech bar: Genuine fluency in AI tools and the tech/AI product landscape — not familiarity, fluency

Qualifications

Who You Are

  • ~10 years of experience spanning creative craft and strategic leadership; you started doing the work and grew into leading it

  • A strong art director or conceptual creative director at heart; your portfolio shows genuine craft, taste, and a clear point of view

  • Conceptual thinking is your foundation: you develop original ideas, not just polish existing ones

  • Deeply familiar with the tech and AI product space — you understand what's being built and why it matters

  • Experience leading creative inside or alongside large technology companies; in-house or embedded experience strongly preferred

  • A confident, empathetic communicator who can hold the room with a CMO and a product engineer in the same meeting

  • Social-native: you know the platforms, the culture, and what actually performs

  • Hands-on with modern tools;  Figma, generative AI, whatever gets the idea out of your head and onto a screen

  • You have a strong point of view and aren't afraid to defend it, but you know when to evolve it

  • Comfortable with ambiguity, fast pivots, and the pace of a large tech organization (Google, Spotify, Amazon, Open AI, etc)

Nice to Have

  • Experience working embedded inside a client organization or in-house brand team
  • Experience leading work around tentpole events, product launches, or live cultural moments
