Job Description
Supervises, trains, and directs assigned staff, for the overall quality of care and service delivery to persons served within the team. Keeps administration appraised of any and all gaps in the agency's service delivery system. Provides recommendations for quality improvement and utilization review process and functions. Assures that work is performed in a manner that promotes person centered planning, self determination, professional standards and Wayne Center's code of ethics.
Qualifications
One of the following:
- A Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or Counseling - OR -
- A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, or Human Services, plus a Master's Degree in a related field, and a minimum of two years of experience as a clinician assessing/evaluating/developing clinical interventions for children.
Five years of experience in one of the fields named above, including a minimum of three years of experience as a human service professional.
Current certification and/or licensure as a LLMSW/LMSW, LLBSW/LBSW, LLPC/LPC or an LLP/LP to practice in the State of Michigan.
Three years of staff supervision required.
Knowledge of mental health, social services, habilitative waiver services, and public health service systems.
Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) with specialized training and experience in treating or working with a person who has intellectual disability preferred.
Every year at the time of their licensing and/or credential renewal, evidence five hours of QIDP, five hours of Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) and 24 hours of Children’s Mental Health Professional (CMHP) training (this applies to Children’s Team Director).
Experience with the team approach.
Demonstration of strong management, verbal and written communication skills.
