Job Description
The Patient Support Ecosystem SME will ensure our clients patient support ecosystem engagement delivers market-leading quality and thought leadership, we are engaging an experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME) on a limited, short-term basis (~40 hours over 4 weeks).
This SME will augment the core consulting team by providing deep industry perspective, validating our approach against best practices, and helping shape differentiated insights that strengthen our position for future business expansion within the client.
Structured as a strategic growth and business development role, the focus of this engagement is to ensure we deliver an exceptional product that differentiates Wavestone in the market; directly influencing the quality, credibility, and strategic impact of the final deliverable and helping Wavestone demonstrate distinctive value and secure subsequent phases of work.
Engagement Scope:
- Provide expert input on the design and validation of the patient and HCP support ecosystem framework.
- Offer strategic guidance on industry trends, innovation levers, and best practices across patient engagement, adherence, and access models.
- Participate in working sessions and internal reviews to assess progress, identify opportunities for differentiation, and ensure alignment with client priorities.
- Contribute to thought leadership elements (e.g., guiding principles, future-state archetypes, or capability frameworks) that can be leveraged in business development efforts.
- Support the consulting team in framing strategic narratives and recommendations that position Wavestone for continued partnership growth.
Expected Outcomes:
- Enhanced quality and credibility of the patient support ecosystem deliverable.
- Strengthened Wavestone positioning through embedded thought leadership.
- Clear differentiation of our approach in upcoming client discussions and follow-on phases.
- Creation of reusable content and insights for business development and marketing purposes.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Patient Support Ecosystem SME within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Ability to work at our clients East Hanover office on a hybrid schedule.
- Well-developed communications skills, including expertise in delivering compelling presentations to stakeholders. Demonstrated customer focus that conveys a genuine concern for customer needs and generates customer satisfaction.
- Ability to build trusting interpersonal relationships, and model professional demeanor when faced with opposition, pressure, or stressful conditions.
