Job Description
Becoming part of the Financial Services Advisory team will present new opportunities for you to make a positive impact as we embark on securing major international accounts to support our growth in international markets.
This will mean working with our FTSE100 clients on a wide range of advisory projects, bringing deep business and technology expertise to help address opportunities and challenges across their organisations.
Your role as an Associate Partner with extensive experience working in the Wealth and Asset Management field means being a key player to lead and drive the development of the Financial Services practice in terms of: 
 
- Business Development: Be a subject matter expert, lead and support sales activity to include full lifecycle from pre-sales support, identification of opportunities & scope the delivery phase of engagements. 
- Client Engagement Lead: Lead high-impact client engagements across the Wealth and Asset Management sector, overseeing delivery of transformation initiatives, operating model redesign, and strategic advisory engagements. Act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders, helping them navigate evolving client expectations, regulatory pressures, and digital disruption. 
- Thought leadership & proposition ownership: Be a key voice in our WAM community internally and externally, developing WAM related propositions, approaches to common client challenges, sharing knowledge and creating thought leadership and marketing materials that support sales efforts. 
- People development: Act as an example and go-to for more junior members of the team, by sharing knowledge, mentoring, and coaching team members and leading by example. Possibly provide line management, and career development directly as part of our career development manager framework. 
Qualifications
Whilst we do not expect candidates to meet every criterion, we're looking for individuals with strong foundations in operations and/or technology-led transformation, and relevant experience across a significant majority of the following areas:
- Solid foundations in consulting skills with significant experience in external client-facing consulting or equivalent roles within the Wealth and Asset Management sector. 
- Proven track record of selling consulting services (account planning, pitching to clients, proposals, value proposition development). 
- Solid network of contacts within Financial Services. 
- Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels of an organization, experience in managing and leading teams, developing and coaching the wider consulting team. 
- Proven background leading Transformation Programmes and strong acumen enhancing advisory credibility. 
 
- Domain Knowledge - Wealth Asset Management (ideally experience in some or all of the following areas) : 
 - Operating model best practice and target operating model design and delivery;
 - Front, middle and back-office systems and operations, inc. fund accounting, custody, transfer agency, etc.
 - End to end lifecycle of vendor / outsource partner strategy through to implementation;
 - Data strategy, data and application architecture and artificial intelligence use cases in the sector;
 - M&A support and execution within the sector;
 - Retail and institutional distribution;
 - Different asset classes such as public and private assets, hedge funds, and UCITs.

Travel and Location
- Employees are not required to work in a Wavestone office on a full-time basis but are required to commute to the office /client site, whenever necessary. Wavestone UK office is in the heart of the city of London. 
- Note: Mandatory 2-3 days per week in Wavestone office / client site during probation.
