Job Description
As part of the Financial Department of Wavestone, and at the core of the strategic and transformational initiatives of a publicly listed group, you will join the Financial Development team which is currently scaling up to address the increasing volume of development projects driven by the recent merger with Q_Perior. The team has a highly comprehensive, cross-functional view of the group’s financial and legal operations, reports directly to the CFO, and works closely with Executive and Strategic Management on high-impact projects:
- M&A: providing technical support throughout the entire acquisition process, from target valuation to post-closing commitments monitoring, including the execution phases such as due diligence coordination and SPA drafting.
- Financial Department projects: contributing to key transformation initiatives within the group, such as legal simplifications (mergers), transfer pricing policy implementation, currency hedging strategies, and other ad-hoc financial and legal analysis.
- Financial communication and closings: participating in Wavestone’s consolidated financial closings, from analyzing financial statements to reviewing financial press releases. This includes preparing annual legal documentation, liaising with external auditors and the French Financial Markets Authority (AMF), as well as organizing Wavestone’s Annual General Meeting and Board of Directors’ meeting.
Qualifications
You hold a master’s degree from a top engineering or business school and have successfully completed at least 12 months of initial experience (including internship, apprenticeship, VIE or a first permanent position) in Corporate Finance within a listed company, or in an Audit or Transaction Services role at a leading firm.
You are looking for a stimulating role in a dynamic and fast-paced environment; you have a sharp mind and a quick grasp of complex concepts.
You are fluent in both written and spoken French and English.
You are reliable, thorough, eager to learn and proactive. You have strong communication skills and can effectively synthesize and present complex and unfamiliar information for a variety of high-level internal and external stakeholders.
