About the role

We’re looking for a safety-focused Driver (Class 5) to join WM New Zealand. You’ll operate company vehicles and equipment to deliver waste management services safely, efficiently, and sustainably, while keeping customers happy.

Role will include Haulage from Transfer Stations to landfill as well as servicing commercial customers.

Qualifications

About you

We’re seeking a reliable and motivated driver who takes pride in safe, high-quality work. You’ll have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and a commitment to customer service and sustainability.

You’ll bring:

  • A valid Class 5 NZ Driver’s Licence
  • Good level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven heavy vehicle driving experience - Hook Truck experience preferred but not essential 
  • A solid understanding of vehicle safety, maintenance, and fatigue management
  • Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to carry out daily checks and maintenance
  • Waste industry experience would be an advantage
