Job Description
We are seeking a multi-skilled Class 4 Driver to join our team based in New Plymouth.
About the role
As a Driver, you will be responsible for:
- Operating the vehicle and onboard equipment to ensure safe and timely service collection throughout the Taranaki region
- Conducting pre-trip and routine safety checks on all vehicles and equipment to maintain roadworthiness and compliance
- Maintaining accurate records and completing all required paperwork, including delivery documentation and incident reports
- Securing and managing loads safely in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Operating Hi Ab (truck-mounted crane) equipment safely and efficiently, where applicable
- Demonstrating excellent customer service and communication with clients during service collections
- Planning efficient routes and managing time effectively to meet service schedules
- Championing our culture of health and safety, ensuring all team members get home safely at the end of each shift
- Performing routine vehicle maintenance and reporting any mechanical issues promptly
- Complying with all relevant transport regulations, including those pertaining to dangerous goods (DG License required; we can assist with obtaining this qualification)
- Collaborating with team members and management to support operational excellence
No two days are the same in this dynamic role covering the Taranaki region.
Qualifications
About you
You are customer-focused and enjoy interacting with customers and colleagues. You’re comfortable working independently and pulling together as part of the team.
- A clean and up to date Class 4 New Zealand driver’s licence
- Relevant driving experience
