Job Description

As a Licensed Facilities Maintenance Operations Manager, you'll lead the predictive and preventative maintenance strategy for Walmart facilities throughout your assigned region. You'll partner directly with Store Managers and Facilities Services leadership to keep facilities operating safely, efficiently and reliably.

You'll:

Lead, coach and develop a team of facilities maintenance technicians.
Oversee HVAC/R and general building maintenance across your assigned locations.
Partner with Store Managers and Facilities Services leaders to identify and resolve facility needs.
Use reporting, analytics and root-cause analysis to improve equipment reliability and maintenance performance.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors when needed.
Maintain required contractor licensing and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
Secure required permits and coordinate inspections in accordance with mechanical and building codes.
Conduct site inspections to support safety, quality and compliance standards.

Travel: Approximately 50%+ throughout your local region. Most travel is same-day/local and does not require overnight stays.

Qualifications

Required:

Current HVAC/R Mechanical Contractor license in good standing in your state of residence
EPA Universal Certification
3–5 years of experience in facilities management, construction management, mechanical maintenance, engineering or a related field
Strong HVAC/mechanical knowledge
Leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate and develop others
Strong communication, problem-solving and customer-service skills
Experience with root-cause and equipment breakdown analysis

Preferred:

Commercial HVAC/R experience
General building/facilities maintenance experience
Experience supervising associates
Experience working across teams, locations or projects
