Travel domestically to and from multiple facilities or worksites requiring consecutive overnight stays. Travel areas are based on project workload and will change as the business needs. Associates will be based out of a home store within Region 2, 3, or 4 but can expect to travel surrounding states or farther to support projects. We start out by telling the candidates that there are these prerequisites:

• Valid Driver’s License & Reliable personal transportation are required for this position. (Car, Truck, SUV)

• A background check of your driving record will be performed to ensure you are a safe driver

• This is a traveling position. On short notice, you may be 5 minutes from home or 1000 miles from home.

• Primarily working overnight

• Nightly shifts average from 10 to 12 hours • Installing/building fixtures, displays, and signing • Ensuring Walmart stores are up to brand standards • Working with construction • Setting merchandise.

• This position requires frequent walking, lifting, lifting, and multiple hours on your feet. • While teaching and training hands-on participation will be needed.

• We need people to lead and ensure that everyone is doing what they have been assigned to do in a neat, clean, safe, and efficient manner. • This is a traveling position. On short notice, you may be 5 minutes from home or 1000 miles from home.

• You will be in different work locations approximately 80% of the year.

• We use laptops, smartphones, and many computer programs such as Microsoft Suite, Workday, Concur etc. Do you feel comfortable operating a smartphone, or laptop/tablet? After knowing all of this are you still interested in continuing with the interview? We will want to shy away from verbiage such as

• “you get weekends off” – this is not the case in 7-day projects • “you may be close to home and commute”- want to prepare them for extreme travel possibility • “you will be home every 2 weeks” – this is not the standard SPC rotation, 17-21 days with 3-4 off is standard • “we will fly you” – standard practice is that SPC will make the initial drive to work locations and may be required to fly for downtimes.

- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field and 1-year experience in project management, space management, store design, operations, data analysis, or related area OR - 3 years of experience in project management, space management, store design, operations, data analysis, or related areas.
