We are hiring for Pharmacy Technician in Training in Frederick, MD
Note: This role is open to candidates located near Frederick, MD and who are willing to relocate to the area.

Compensation details:

  • Pharmacy Technician in Training: Starts at $18.00/hr (Based on years of experience, pharmacy experience is a plus)
  • Plus $2.00/Hr. differential for the 2nd shift and $3.00/Hr. differential for the 3rd shift (Until candidate becomes Registered/Certified)

Work Schedule:

  • 1st shift – must be available to work between the hours of 6am to 6pm
  • 2nd shift - must be available to work between the hours of 4pm to 4am
  • 3rd shift - must be available to work between the hours of 9pm to 9am

Full-Time: associates will work 4 days a week, it is a 10-hour shift, and it is a rotating schedule so candidates must be available all week except Saturdays when the facility will be closed.

Part-time: Associates must work at least 3 days a week, it is a 10-hour shift, we need to know which days of the week the candidates will be available, partial shifts are not possible.
 

Job Duties include: 

  • Tracks and stocks pharmaceuticals using automated systems, ensures product quality, performs audits, resolves pill cell issues, and handles expired/recalled stock.
  • Maintains pharmacy technology and inventory systems, calibrates machines, ensures data accuracy, monitors stock levels, and troubleshoots pill cell issues.
  • Sorts, stores, restocks, rotates inventory, reports low stock, performs cycle counts, and monitors expired prescriptions.
  • Updates pharmaceutical data, prepares reports, resolves discrepancies, and maintains proper documentation for pharmacy activities and inventory.
  • Assists in prescription fulfillment, maintains pharmacy standards, manages stock, handles returns, and ensures a safe and clean environment.
  • Uses scanners to verify, label, and prepare medications, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adheres to company policies, follows ethical standards, and applies the Open Door Policy to resolve issues.
  • Manages tasks based on priorities, communicates progress, collaborates with team members, and adapts to change or feedback.

Physical Requirements

  • Moves, lifts, carries, and places merchandise and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Stands for long periods of time.
  • Grasps, turns, and manipulates objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
  • Reaches overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
