As an IELTS Teacher, you form part of the Service Team at Wall Street English, being jointly responsible for the educational success of the IELTS students. You contribute to the Students’ learning by preparing and delivering educational, interactive, and dynamic classes that help to prepare students in taking the IELTS exam. You, along with the other Teachers, guarantee that the Student is given enough opportunity to develop their four key language skills and that you guide them throughout their course to achieve an improved IELTS score. 

You are responsible for providing Students with motivation, feedback and sound study advice as they progress through their studies. The IELTS Teacher reports to the Service Manager and Senior IELTS teacher. You will meet with them on a weekly or biweekly basis, and you may be asked to attend ongoing training and skills development seminars.

We are looking for experienced teachers who have some prior knowledge of IELTS and a strong desire to learn more and develop as a teacher. The IELTS test prep course has been specifically designed to prepare students who wish to take their IELTS test. You will be using course materials designed by Language Experts at Pearson Education and will deliver a range of lectures and tutorials to ensure essential exam skills can be put in to practice. The course will cover the four language skills in-depth and classes will be small to ensure a supportive and effective learning environment. You are driven by an exceptional level of service in your delivery to both the candidate and your service team.

Plan and deliver a variety of IELTS lectures and tutorials which focus on the four key skills: listening, speaking, reading & writing.

Teach classes focused on both IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training tests.

Conduct and grade IELTS practice tests. 

Marking and monitoring student’s work through My English Lab (MEL).

Assist in conducting placement tests to determine the most suitable classes for students.

Conduct regular progress reviews and provide individual feedback to students throughout the course.

• Native English speaker with a passport from the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, or South Africa (Vietnamese immigration policy).
• At least 2 years teaching experience as a English Teacher. Prior IELTS teaching experience is highly desirable.
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university from one of the seven countries listed above (Vietnamese immigration policy).
• CELTA/Trinity TESOL or MA in TESOL is strongly preferred or a 120-hour in class equivalent.
• Exceptional understanding of English language grammatical analysis.
• Some knowledge of the IELTS test strongly desired.
• Proficient in using basic computer programs and quick to adapt to new IT systems.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team and cross-functionally in order to ensure course growth and success.
• Professional in attitude and appearance, dynamic with a passion for teaching and a commitment to real English education.
• Open minded towards new challenges, flexible, a positive attitude, and the desire to help change futures.

• Wall Street experience would be an added advantage.

• Able to work in the local country.

• Flexibility will be required in order to meet center requirements.
