The Wakefield Midwest location is seeking an experienced Operations Manager. The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization’s manufacturing processes including the daily operational flow to meet customer expectations.  Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provide overall leadership and direction to direct reports responsible for manufacturing department.

• Oversee the daily production operations of the company and all its components. Implement, optimize, and successfully manage production efficiency and quality standards. Ensure products are manufactured on schedule, in accordance with quality standards, and at the lowest possible cost. Recommend optimal production solutions and equipment needs.

• Prepare operational analyses for the department.  Define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and recommend corrective actions to meet corporate and departmental objectives.

• Troubleshoot production problems and take preventive or corrective action, engaging the employees as appropriate.

• Using Lean principles as the basis, ensure that quality, cost, efficiency, capacity goals are achieved or exceeded.

• Assure that safety and best practices are maximized.

• Minimum of 7 years proven shop floor operations managerial experience in a CNC multi-functional manufacturing environment including tooling design through creation.

• 5+ years of successful managerial experience working in a lean manufacturing environment.

• Proven history of successful goal setting, achievement, and employment management in a multi-cultural environment.

• Strategic and tactical mindset.

• Ability to manage production schedules and perform manpower planning.

• Capable of handling multiples priorities and extensive time demands.

• Self motivated with an extremely high sense of urgency, personal energy and stamina.

• High level of personal integrity.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) and the ability to motivate and lead a diverse work force to achieve desired results.
