Job Description

Who will you be working with?

You will be working with our field service team who are expertise to ensure on-site work are performed according to agreed procedures, safely, on time and within budget and to the satisfaction of the customer. To perform the tasks successfully, you will be in close contact with Engineering team to ensure feedback from the field is provided to back office teams so as ensure the performance of the system.
 

How will you make a difference?

As a member of the field service team, you will be responsible to manage maintenance service resources, including field service staff, subcontractors, tools & equipment and logistic of site delivery and organization. You will also provide technical and operational solution, including but not limited to technician training, provide expertise on day to day repair and maintenance to technician, deliver sounded technical answer to MTRC enquiries.

 

What will your typical day look like?

  • Provide constructive feedback to engineering team for CM and PM findings and observation;

  • Validate Site Works execution plan for corrective maintenance (CM), preventive maintenance (PM), Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) and other special maintenance related tasks, including daily organization and contingency plans, in order to meet service target (KPI) in accordance with contract requirement (response time, recovery time, reliability - MCBF, availability, etc.);

  • Accountable for respect of Work Instruction & O&M Manuals;

  • Validate incident report, progress / field services reports prepared by FS Engineers and Field Service Lead;

  • Identify gaps in team capacity & capability and report it to Field Service and Operation Manager;

  • Propose plan to close the gap, with support of Field Service Lead and Assistant Field Service Engineer & Engineering;

  • Get support from & coordinate with Deputy Installation Manager for special works & CBM arrangement and follow-up;

  • Respond to customer queries related to Maintenance activities;

  • With support of Field Service Lead, Field Service Engineer, and Assistant Field Service, report internally the productivity, workload and main pain points related to maintenance activities;

  • Monitor Maintenance KPIs;

  • Enforce Safety based on internal, customer and ISO standard. Ensure site work meets MTRC and HK Government safety regulation;

  • Complete ad hoc assignments from Field Service and Operations Manager.

What do we want to know about you?

  • Degree holder in E&M Engineering or other discipline.  

  • At least 5 years or above working experience in senior site supervision position, in areas of railway, building or other infrastructure service and maintenance. Experience in working with MTRC is an advantage;

  • Strong managerial and people management skill.  Able to steer the team to perform.  Experience in leading a team with more than 10 people is a plus

  • Previous customer service / customer relation experience with be an advantage

  • Written and spoken Cantonese, English and Mandarin is a MUST.

  • Holder of Hong Kong Driver License class 1 and 2 is an advantage.

  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills, able to deal with all levels of personnel. 

  • Able to pick up different product lines knowledge & transfer to service team member.

  • Good team player, responsible, diplomatic, proactive and able to work independently under minimal supervision.

  • Experience in Occupational Health and Safety and ISO standard is a definite advantage.
