Job Description

Who will you be working with?

You will be part of the EMEA IT Technology Services team, working closely with end users, IT Service Desk Leads, Infrastructure teams, application support teams, and third-party service providers. The team is responsible for delivering high-quality IT support services, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of the end-user computing environment across multiple locations. You will collaborate with both local and global stakeholders to resolve technical issues, support business operations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

As a IT Service Desk Specialist, you will be responsible for providing first- and second-level IT support to ensure a stable, secure, and efficient technology environment. You will serve as a key point of contact for end users, resolving incidents, fulfilling service requests, and maintaining IT assets and infrastructure in accordance with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

In this role, you will support hardware and software lifecycle management, troubleshooting and maintenance activities, endpoint security compliance, and IT inventory management. You will work closely with the IT TS Engagement Leader EMEA and other IT teams to deliver exceptional customer service, support business continuity, and contribute to technology improvement initiatives.

What do we want to know about you?

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT Service Desk, Desktop Support, or a similar IT support role.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11) administration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience supporting desktop and laptop hardware in a professional environment.
  • Proven knowledge of TCP/IP networking concepts and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Microsoft SCCM/Endpoint Management and endpoint security tools.
  • Knowledge of antivirus administration and patch management processes.
  • Experience supporting network printers, scanners, multifunction devices (MFDs), phones, and conferencing equipment.
  • Audio/Video equipment support experience.
  • Familiarity with IT asset management and Configuration Management Database (CMDB) processes.
  • Understanding of ITIL principles and IT Service Management practices; ITIL Foundation certification is an advantage.
  • Experience working with third-party service providers.
  • Apple MacOS and iOS support experience is preferred.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent customer service, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in global and multicultural teams.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and emerging technologies.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Provide first- and second-level technical support for hardware, software, network, and mobility-related issues.
  • Resolve incidents and service requests within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop and laptop computers.
  • Support operating system deployment, software installation, updates, and patch management activities.
  • Administer and monitor endpoint security solutions, including antivirus compliance.
  • Maintain accurate IT inventory records and update the CMDB accordingly.
  • Perform PC lifecycle management activities, including installation, moves, additions, changes, refreshes, stock management, and disposal.
  • Configure and support printers, scanners, multifunction devices, phones, and audio/video conferencing equipment.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot the IT environment to ensure optimal system performance and availability.
  • Assist with acquisition integrations and onboarding of new sites into the IT environment.
  • Support VIP users and provide on-site assistance when required.
  • Perform root cause analysis for recurring incidents and contribute to continuous service improvement.
  • Coordinate hardware and software purchases in accordance with company procedures.
  • Deliver end-user training, guidance, and documentation when needed.
  • Collaborate with internal IT teams and external vendors to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Support IT budget tracking and spending activities in coordination with the Finance team.
  • Participate in IT projects, deployments, and technology improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
