Job Description

This is an on-site position based in Contagem, Minas Gerais, Brazil, with an expectation of working on-site five days per week.

Who will you be working with?

You will work closely with regional business stakeholders in Brazil, including Finance, Tax, Supply Chain, Operations, and newly acquired business entities, while partnering with Global Centers of Excellence (CoEs), IT teams, and external solution providers. This role acts as a critical bridge between business needs and technology solutions, ensuring alignment with Wabtec’s strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.

How will you make a difference?

As a member of the IT Business Excellence team, you will lead strategic ERP and application deployment initiatives across Brazil, supporting both business growth and operational excellence. This role combines project management responsibilities with Product Owner accountability for localization solutions, ensuring compliance with Brazil’s evolving regulatory and tax landscape. You will drive continuous improvement, enable successful system implementations, and support the integration of newly acquired entities and expanding operations. Through close collaboration with business leaders and global teams, you will help deliver scalable, high-quality solutions that enhance efficiency, compliance, and business performance.

What do we want to know about you?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or another STEM-related field.
  • Advanced English proficiency, with the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams and Centers of Excellence.
  • Demonstrated experience managing IT projects, ERP implementations, or business systems initiatives.
  • Experience gathering business requirements, prioritizing initiatives, and managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (Oracle EBS).
  • Knowledge of Thomson Reuters tax solutions, including DFe, TaxOne, OneSource, OSGT/GTM, and Tax Analyser.
  • Experience with ERP localization projects in Brazil.
  • Familiarity with Brazilian tax legislation, statutory reporting, and Tax Reform initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
  • Experience with systems integration and solution architecture.
  • Experience in multinational industrial environments.
  • Experience supporting digital transformation or ERP deployment programs.
  • Project management certifications such as PMP, Agile, Scrum, or equivalent.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Lead ERP and business application deployment projects across Brazil, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in business processes and systems.
  • Manage a portfolio of IT initiatives, providing accurate status reporting and governance to stakeholders.
  • Gather and document business requirements, maintain the project backlog, and prioritize demands based on business value.
  • Develop business cases, assess ROI, define scope, identify risks, and support approval processes for new initiatives.
  • Create and manage project schedules, budgets, deliverables, stakeholder communication plans, and risk mitigation actions.
  • Serve as Product Owner for Brazil localization solutions, managing product roadmaps, vendor contracts, and support tickets.
  • Oversee localization systems including ERP localization modules, tax reporting platforms, and regulatory compliance solutions.
  • Partner with Finance, Tax, Supply Chain, Operations, and Global CoEs to deliver business and technology solutions.
  • Support the rollout of business processes and ERP modules for newly acquired businesses and operational expansion initiatives.
  • Drive implementation and optimization of Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
  • Ensure seamless integration between ERP platforms and associated bolt-on applications.
