Who will you be working with?
Wabtec’s Digital Intelligence Signaling & Systems team is a recognized industry leader in the successful delivery of complex integrated system projects. These projects involve signaling, train control, communications, and back-office solutions with a strong focus on project execution, schedule adherence, and customer satisfaction
How will you make a difference?
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Construction Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of project construction plans to ensure design, technical and quality standards are achieved safely within allocated time and
budget parameters.
Where is the position located?
Perth, FIFO to Newman or Port Hedland.
What will your typical day look like?
Promote and ensure the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management systems are implemented and adhered to
Develop, implement and monitor progress of construction plans in respect of time, cost and quality
Monitor construction work for compliance with engineering design specifications, client standards and statutory regulations
Review and appraise contractors/sub-contractors plans and schedules
Identify contract variations and negotiate minor variations or additional work within overall scope of projects
Participation in tender preparation and review
Reporting on all facets of project performance as directed and required
Develop individual and team competence
Manage and monitor the resource roster for the construction team
Supervise construction team members including service providers, contractors and subcontractors
What do we want to know about you?
Essential
Engineering degree or equivalent
Substantial experience and proven track record of delivering projects on time and budget within the construction industry
Proficient user of the Microsoft Office Suite and Project Pro.
Preferred
Experience in a Rail Environment
Substantial experience working in BHP/RIO rail or construction space
