Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Field Service Technician to join our team in Ålesund, Norway. In this role, you will provide on-site technical support and maintenance services to our clients, ensuring equipment operates at peak performance. You will be responsible for diagnosing complex technical issues, executing repairs efficiently, and maintaining comprehensive service documentation. This position requires a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering organized, high-quality technical solutions.

  • Perform on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of technical equipment and systems
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions using analytical problem-solving techniques and appropriate diagnostic tools
  • Execute preventive maintenance protocols to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan
  • Document all service activities, repairs, and findings in a clear and organized manner
  • Communicate technical issues and solutions effectively to clients and internal teams
  • Manage time efficiently to meet service schedules and respond promptly to urgent requests
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company protocols during field operations
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and equipment optimization
  • Maintain accurate inventory of tools, parts, and equipment
  • Collaborate with technical teams to resolve complex issues and share knowledge

Qualifications

**Required Qualifications:**

  • Minimum 2 years of field service or technical support experience
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Proficiency in equipment maintenance and repair procedures
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of safety compliance standards and protocols
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the region

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Technical certification or specialized training in relevant equipment or systems
  • Experience with service management software and digital documentation tools
  • Fluency in Norwegian and English
  • Customer service experience and client-focused approach
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance best practices
  • Experience working in Scandinavian or Nordic business environments
