This position is for work in an on-site format, in Contagem - MG.
 

Who will you be working with?

This position will work directly with employees and leaders across all levels of the Operations team in the Contagem facility, with support from the Human Resources team.

How will you make a difference?

As a member of the Contagem Plant, you will act as a key HR partner to the Operations. You will support leaders and employees on daily people matters, helping create a consistent, fair, and productive work environment.

This role ensures that HR practices are applied effectively across the shop floor, supports leaders in managing their teams, and helps drive engagement, performance, and workforce stability. The HR Specialist plays a critical role in connecting business needs with people solutions, ensuring that the operation runs smoothly from a workforce perspective.

What do we want to know about you?

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Advanced level of English
  • Previous experience in Human Resources is desirable

What will your typical day look like?

  • Act as the main HR contact for production employees and leaders at all levels.
  • Support day-to-day employee relations topics, ensuring fair and consistent handling of concerns and disciplinary processes.
  • Coach and guide leaders on people management, including performance, feedback, and team engagement.
  • Support recruitment activities for production roles, ensuring timely and effective hiring.
  • Drive onboarding activities to ensure new employees are integrated quickly and successfully.
  • Support performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback, and performance improvement actions.
  • Monitor key workforce metrics such as absenteeism, turnover, and headcount.
  • Identify trends and recommend actions to improve workforce stability and productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and labor regulations.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
  • Support engagement initiatives and help strengthen communication between leadership and employees.
  • Partner with other HR team members to align HR practices across the facility.

1. Connect with Leaders and Teams

  • Start the day by connecting with production leaders to understand priorities, staffing needs, and any people-related concerns.
  • Walk the shop floor to stay close to employees, observe team dynamics, and build trust.

2. Address Day-to-Day Employee Topics

  • Respond to employee questions, concerns, and requests in a timely and consistent way.
  • Support investigations and ensure proper documentation of employee relations cases.

3. Support Staffing and Workforce Needs

  • Review staffing levels, absenteeism, and gaps with leaders.
  • Coordinate recruitment activities and follow up on open positions.
  • Support onboarding activities for new hires.

4. Partner on Performance and Development

  • Work with leaders on performance topics, including feedback conversations and development actions.
  • Support performance improvement discussions when needed.

5. Monitor and Analyze Workforce Data

  • Track key metrics such as attendance, turnover, and workforce trends.
  • Provide insights and recommend actions to improve results.

6. Ensure Compliance and Process Consistency

  • Review HR processes to ensure they are applied fairly and consistently.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.

7. Strengthen Engagement and Communication

  • Gather feedback from employees and share insights with leadership.
  • Support engagement initiatives aligned with the shop floor reality.

8. Plan and Align with HR and Leadership

  • Connect with HR peers and leadership to align on priorities and actions.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in HR processes and people practices.
