Job Description

Who will you be working with?

You will be part of the FP&A team supporting the Transit and Freight Components businesses. The area operates with a lean structure, requiring strong collaboration across multiple functions such as Engineering, Operations, and Commercial teams. This role will work closely with leadership, providing financial insights and supporting decision-making processes across projects and product lines.

How will you make a difference?

As a member of the FP&A organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring financial visibility, discipline, and performance management for Transit and Freight Components. You will be responsible for financial planning, analysis, reporting, and operational financial control, supporting leadership with accurate data and insights.

This role requires a high level of ownership, as the team operates in a lean structure and supports multiple business fronts simultaneously. You will contribute to budgeting, forecasting, closing activities, and process improvements, including BI tools and system implementations. Additionally, you will help identify risks and opportunities, driving financial performance and efficiency across the organization.

What do we want to know about you?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related fields
  • Solid experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or controlling
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial closing
  • Knowledge of financial systems and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Oracle)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and lean environment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • English proficiency is a plus

What will your typical day look like?Financial Analysis

  • Analyze and control company expenses, costs, and revenues across projects and product lines
  • Support long-term project financial tracking and performance
  • Participate in budget preparation (cost centers) interacting with multiple areas
  • Support periodic forecast processes and Budget vs Actual analysis:
    • Revenue, costs, and contribution margin by project
    • Expenses by cost center
  • Support P&Ls for Transit and Freight Components

Performance & Results Analysis

  • Perform detailed analysis of revenues, costs, and expenses
  • Analyze profitability by project and product line
  • Identify cost reduction and performance improvement opportunities
  • Provide insights to support leadership decision-making

Financial & Accounting Closing

  • Execute and support monthly financial closing activities
  • Prepare and analyze accounting and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Perform revenue reconciliation and validation
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance

Operational & Administrative Financial Control

  • Open and manage workflows (WFs), Back-to-Back processes, and purchase requests (REQs)
  • Control, validate, and classify financial documents
  • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and internal communications
  • Submit freight-related information to SGI
  • Track Engineering, PM, and Field Service hours
  • Monitor accounts receivable by project and product line (Transit)

Reporting, Systems & Consolidation

  • Develop and maintain BI dashboards and management reports
  • Report sales, costs, orders, and backlog (OS system)
  • Consolidate revenues, costs, and expenses (including Chile operations – Faiveley)
  • Support process improvements and automation initiatives, especially in Power BI

Business Support & Audits

  • Provide financial support to operational areas
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Contribute to ongoing FP&A routines and cycle improvements
