Job Description

Who will you be working with?

You will work closely with a cross-functional team including manufacturing engineering, production, quality, and maintenance teams.In this role, you will act as a key link between engineering and operations, ensuring smooth knowledge transfer of welding and machining technologies across sites. You will collaborate with multiple stakeholders to align technical requirements, timelines, and production readiness.You will also engage with project teams and site leadership to support successful implementation and continuous improvement of transferred technologies.

How will you make a difference?

As a Technology Transfer Engineer within the Mechanical Engineering team, you will play a key role in transferring and optimizing welding and machining technologies into new or updated production environments.You will be responsible for ensuring that existing processes are clearly documented, standardized, and adapted to meet current production needs. Your work will support operational efficiency, product quality, and production readiness.You will also drive improvements by identifying process gaps, resolving technical challenges, and ensuring collaboration across departments throughout the transfer lifecycle.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Coordinating technology transfer activities for welding and machining processes
  • Collaborating with engineering, production, and quality teams
  • Reviewing and improving technical documentation and work instructions
  • Identifying process gaps and proposing improvements
  • Supporting troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
  • Managing project timelines, milestones, and deliverables
  • Reporting project progress and communicating with stakeholders
  • Ensuring alignment across teams during implementation phases

Qualifications

What do we want to know about you?

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in:
    • Technology transfer
    • Process engineering or production environments
    • Welding and machining processes
  • Experience working with existing or legacy technologies, including incomplete or unclear documentation
  • Proven experience coordinating cross-functional teams
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills, with ability to work across diverse teams
  • Experience with process documentation and standardization
  • Familiarity with CAD tools and engineering software (nice to have)
