NineStar Connect seeks a visionary and strategic Vice President of Finance to join our Senior Leadership Team. This vital role offers the opportunity to champion our financial well-being and collaborate with leadership to navigate the ever-evolving cooperative landscape. You'll play a key role in providing insightful financial analysis, fostering a culture of strong financial stewardship, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

What you'll do: 

• Strategic Partner: Collaborate with the President/CEO and Board of Directors to develop and implement strategic financial initiatives, ensuring long-term financial stability.
• Financial Forecaster: Provide insightful financial analysis and forecasts to support informed decision-making across the organization.
• Stewardship Champion: Foster a culture of strong financial stewardship, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, rules, and regulations.
• Talent Developer: Guide and mentor the Finance team, fostering a strong and collaborative environment where everyone thrives.
• Financial Translator: Manage the development and delivery of clear and informative financial reports for senior management and the Board of Directors.
• Board Educator: Prepare financial information and data for the Board Finance Committee, securing approvals related to grants, contracts, and overall financial direction.
• Collaborative Leader: Collaborate with leadership to design and implement budgeting, spending monitoring, and forecasting models.
• Communication Powerhouse: Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills to effectively communicate financial information to diverse audiences.   

• Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
• 10+ years of relevant experience in Finance.
• Deep understanding of the cooperative business model and how it's different than for-profit, investor-owned business models.  
• Proficient computer skills with a focus working with database and financial reporting platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated presentation skills.
