Job Description

Provides excellent customer service by receiving and routing calls while greeting front office customers, vendors, and visitors. This includes assisting customer service and billing staff to process customer information, service order activity or billing functions as needed. This is primarily an in-office position.  

Essential duties and responsibilities: 

  • Answering incoming telephone calls, responds to general questions, takes messages, and/or transfers calls to appropriate personnel
  • Provides customer service in person by taking payments, processing returned equipment, and preparing the daily bank deposit
  • Performs clerical duties which may include filing, opening, and sorting mail, preparing correspondence and reports, posting customer payments, and completing other special projects 
  • Completes or assists with opening, sorting, and processing remit payments
  • Completes monthly security customer audits and makes appropriate updates
  • Accepts mail and package deliveries and notify's recipients
  • Assists with Conference Center as needed

Qualifications

Knowledge of: 

  • General office practices and procedures
  • Company products, services, policies, and procedures
  • Company structure along with department and individual employee hierarchy and functions
  • Telecommunication and utility products and services

Skill in: 

  • Customer service and customer relations
  • Operating various computer equipment and software programs
  • Using various office equipment such as calculators, fax machines, postage machines, credit card machines, voicemail, and telephones
  • Oral and Written Communication 

Ability to: 

  • Organize, Prioritize, and handle multiple work assignments at once 
  • Complete work accurately under time constraints and deadlines
  • Communicate with customers, co-workers, and various business contacts in a courteous and professional manner
  • Function effectively as a team player

Education and Experience: 

  • High  school diploma or equivalent with at least 3 years front office customer service experience
  • Proficiency in typing, business phone systems, and use of computers is required
