The Buildings & Grounds Technician position will be responsible for all building and ground maintenance duties at all NineStar Connect office locations. This includes assisting with HVAC, water, electrical, and other essential equipment maintenance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Make minor repairs and work with contractors/vendors for major repairs or maintenance of responsible areas
• Prepare various rooms for meetings that have special setup requirements
• Oversee maintenance of grounds and buildings so that the grounds are kept neat in appearance through the performance of required trash pick-up, landscape upkeep, and snow removal before business hours when necessary
• Perform other duties as needed

Knowledge of: 

• Maintaining operation of fire extinguishers
• Maintaining security lighting on the buildings and grounds
• Using a computer and all related software for  documentation of maintenance records, use of company e-mail systems, and entering time sheet data

Ability to: 

• Operate construction tools (tape measure, ladder, drills, saws, hammers, screwdrivers, etc.)
• Maintain water softener systems
• Oversee that heating and cooling units are serviced to give maximum performance
• Stock beverages, snacks, and paper goods etc. in break room

Education and Experience: 

• Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent is required along with 3-5 years experience in maintenance and repair
• Previous experience with mechanical systems (electrical, HVAC, plumbing) preferred
