Steuben county REMC is looking for an experienced individual within the Telecommunications industry to help with day to day activities associated with installation, maintenance and operations of our broadband network.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Performing and overseeing splicing activities.
• Troubleshooting fiber network connections .
• Training and overseeing fiber I&M technicians .
• Inspecting and cataloging existing facilities for records maintenance.
• Underground locating OSP fiber cabling.
• Meeting with potential customers to perform site evaluations.
• Provide quotes for new connections.

Qualified individuals should be outgoing & friendly as well as have a working knowledge of the following skills.

• Fiber optic cable splicing.
• Fiber Home installation standard practices.
• Telecommunications OSP cable records.
• Microsoft office.

Salary will be commensurate with experience level and training.
