Job Description
KEY ROLE:
WSP operates in a discipline model where project teams are located in dispersed locations and collaborate virtually to deliver project designs. The Design Modeller performs a variety of civil engineering design activities including 3D modelling of engineering designs and associated preparation of preliminary through to wayleave and construction drawings for projects, establishing guidelines and procedures and managing workload distribution within the Design team. The incumbent must be familiar with Autodesk Suite of design software tools. Proven competence in engineering design and high level-of-detail 3D modelling of water, wastewater and storm water infrastructure. The incumbent must have proven competence in 3D BIM model federation, with clash detection and resolution, whilst being able to develop and interpret civil engineering detail design work under the guidance of the professional engineer or professional technologist. The opportunity exists for either the Cape Town or Midrand, Johannesburg office
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Engineering Management of water and wastewater projects;
- Design and modelling of water, wastewater and stormwater related infrastructure using engineering software tools such as Autodesk Civil 3D, InfraWorks, Navisworks, Revit Structures and BIM 360
- Engineering analysis;
- Compiling of tender and contractual documents
- Construction monitoring experience

Qualifications
- Minimum of a B Eng. / BSc (Civil Engineering) or BTech (Civil Engineering)
- 3-6 years’ experience in water and wastewater engineering
- Registration with ECSA will be an advantage
- Knowledge of the relevant standards, regulations and legislation in the water and waste water field
