Searcys are looking for a Sales and Events Executive to join the team at the Gray's Inn. 

As a Sales & Events Executive you will be managing the sales and event bookings for the venue, working on reactive and proactive sales enquires and planning a wide variety events including intimate gatherings and weddings, allowing you to show exquisite detail, service excellence and showstopping food.

The Honourable Society of Gray's Inn is one of the four Inn's of Court. For more than six hundred years, Gray's Inn has been home to some extraordinary legal professionals, primarily acting as Barristers and High Court Judges. Job Description

Job Type: Full Time 

Salary: £35,150 pa + up to 20% of your annual earnings

As a key member of the sales team, you will be responsible for generating new business, managing client relationships, and overseeing the planning and execution of high-profile events. This role is perfect for a sales-driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong background in event sales and planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive venue sales by managing enquiries, preparing proposals, conducting show rounds, converting leads into confirmed business, and achieving monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, promote venue offerings and seasonal menus, and maximise revenue through effective upselling and business development activities.
  • Manage event administration from enquiry through to delivery, including venue diary maintenance, function sheets, accurate billing, and adherence to accounting and sales procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with the Sales Manager and operational teams to identify new business opportunities, ensure clear communication across departments, and support the success of the sales function.
  • Maintain accurate records, correspondence, and reporting to support sales performance, client satisfaction, and future business growth.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in event sales within a high-end venue, hotel, or catering company.

• A strong sales mindset with a track record of meeting and exceeding targets.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

• A passion for delivering exceptional events and client experiences.

• Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.

• Knowledge of London’s events and hospitality market is an advantage.
