Title: Catering Assistant 

Location: Skipton Building Society HQ

Salary: £13.45 per hour 

Position 1: 18 hours per week, 8.00am to 2.30pm, Tuesday - Thursday

Position 2: 19.5 hours per week, 7.30am to 2.30pm, Tuesday - Thursday

Due to expansion we have a fantastic opportunity for 2 catering assistants to join 'BaxterStorey's Team of the Year 2025'. If you have a passion for delivering extraordinary service, thrive in a fast paced environment and bring positivity then this is the role for you.

This is a varied role that includes food preparation, serving customers, making barista coffee, filling vending machines, stock taking, putting away deliveries, using the pot wash and much more! You will need to multi-task and will be kept busy from the moment you arrive, there will be lots of laughs and opportunities to use your creative flair.

Job Description

  • Great Attitude – a positive and friendly attitude is a must
  • Customer Service - provide excellent service by being attentive to guests’ needs at every point on their customer journey
  • Teamwork - collaborate with all other staff to ensure the smooth flow of operations and support and contribute to creating an inclusive and safe working environment
  • Adherence to Regulations - comply with health and safety regulations, as well as any specific food service or catering guidelines established on location
  • Cleanliness - maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all catering areas

Qualifications

  • Have a contagious passion for food and/or customer service
  • You are a team player with great communication 
  • Positive and friendly attitude
  • Previous experience in a similar role, especially in the food service industry, is often a plus
  • Some knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods
