Job Description
Portico is delighted to be recruiting for a part-time receptionist to join our dedicated front-of-house team at the City offices of a leading, high profile law firm.
As part of a warm and professional team of four, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional visitor experience. Your responsibilities will include managing the reception desks across both the ground and client floors, coordinating meeting rooms, supporting events, and providing ad hoc administrative assistance. You’ll also work closely with internal departments to ensure every guest enjoys a seamless and memorable journey.
We’re looking for someone who brings energy, confidence, and genuine enthusiasm to the role. You will be well spoken, personable, and naturally engaging, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels. Thriving under pressure, you’ll be skilled at multitasking and managing your day effectively balancing guest needs, room bookings, and event support with ease.

Hours: 21 hours, 3 days per week, shifts between 8am-4pm and 9:30am-5:30pm from Mon-Fri
Salary: £18,000
Qualifications
We are seeking a polished and confident professional with proven experience in a corporate environment. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the high level service standards required in a client facing setting, supported by strong, relevant examples from their previous roles.
This position is highly visible within the business, requiring someone who can consistently uphold and enhance existing client relationships. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive, service driven approach and the ability to maintain exceptional standards at all times.
As this role may involve providing additional support to the client, flexibility, professionalism, and a commitment to delivering service excellence are essential.
