Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef De Partie to join our culinary team in Scarborough, United Kingdom. This is a term-time position, working 40 hours per week, ideal for those looking to balance their career with academic schedules.
- Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes within your designated section
- Assist in menu planning and development of new recipes
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene regulations and health and safety standards
- Manage and organise your designated section of the kitchen
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area
- Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef as required
- Contribute to stock management and ordering processes
- Adapt menus to accommodate dietary requirements and allergens
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Chef De Partie or in a similar culinary role
- Culinary degree or diploma from a recognised institution
- Valid food hygiene certification
- Excellent knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food preparation processes
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional attention to detail in food preparation and presentation
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively in a kitchen setting
- Flexibility to work during term time, including evenings and weekends as required
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when necessary
- Passion for creating high-quality, delicious meals
