You will be based at Streatham & Clapham High School, a leading independent girls' school in South London, offering an excellent education from nursery through sixth form. Known for its strong academic performance and vibrant community, the school emphasises a holistic approach to learning, nurturing both intellectual and personal growth.

Join our dynamic team with a schedule of 7am to 3:30pm, totaling 40 hours weekly. Enjoy the excitement of hosting a few hospitality events annually and occasional weekends, offering great opportunities for overtime. Embrace the vibrant atmosphere and make your mark with us!

Job Description

  • Prepare and cook dishes in the assigned section with consistent quality.
  • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff.
  • Manage stock levels and report inventory needs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the workstation.
  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a professional kitchen.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality standards.
