You will be based at  St Lawrence College, a highly rated day & boarding school in the UK and a centre of educational excellence in Kent which provides a first-class education for boys and girls from 3 to 18 years. Located on the Kent coast, within easy walking distance of the sea the school is a private school set in a safe, spacious campus housing boarding and day pupils from local, UK and international families. 

Job Description

We are searching for an experienced Head Chef with a background in exceptional food catering services to join our business and work at one of our highly prestigious education settings.

As a Head Chef you will…

As well as having an excellent presentation, organisational and communication skills, you will be able to demonstrate a real passion for food & service and possess bags of enthusiasm

Have worked in a similar environment at a management level, you will be a proven hands on leader, able to invest in your team and in their development.

You will be naturally outgoing and vibrant, display a real passion for food and customer service, you will be driven by creative ideas and implementation, staying up to date with current food trends.

You will have excellent Health & Safety knowledge and be financially astute, bringing your strong IT & literacy skills to the table.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • NVQ qualification or equivalent
  • Excellent craft skills background
  • Successful progressive background in catering
  • Basic and Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Strong Supervisory experience
