Job Description

Name of Position: Community & Event Executive (Marketing)

Department: Marketing & Community Department

Reporting To: Community & Partnership Manager

Position Summary: 

We are looking for a Community & Event Executive to join our creative and strategic centralized Marketing and Community Team. With events & partnerships being a key driver for our member experience, this exciting role will be part of planning, scaling and driving our organized and elevated initiatives. The successful candidate will mainly assist the team in delivering external events across all of WORQ locations through effective partnerships,  logistics management, administration, communications and reporting. 

Working closely with the rest of the team, and reporting to the Marketing Manager to really drive our events and partnerships. As a team, our mission is to prosper together as a community, keep our members connected and add value to their membership. We are a centralised team that aims to organize, elevate and scale.

Job Description :

  • To inclusively build and grow WORQ’s member community through creating a productive and supportive culture that encourage community members and partners to share opportunities and resources.
  • To develop synergistic partnerships with key stakeholders not limited to tech ecosystem partners, government partners, trade and industry associations, and WORQ’s community members.
  • To collect data and feedback from community members to understand their needs, and to use those insights to curate better resources and events for the community.
  • To assist in logistical and operational planning for all events at WORQ (Seminars, Workshops, etc) for both the external and internal community.
  • To collaborate with the marketing team in promoting event and creating promotional materials (and briefings) for confirmed events, supported with effective marketing administration.
  • To facilitate event resources and coordinate packages with all relevant stakeholders (agents, brand ambassadors, co-organizers, etc). 
  • To oversee the booking system and process booking events.
  • To manage internal systems used for planning (Asana, Google etc)
  • To administer feedback and data collation for all events for analysis on where the service could be improved.
  • Any other marketing responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience in Community Building or Leadership Roles in Extracurricular Activities / Associations
  • Experience in Events Management or Events Hosting
  • Experience in Graphic Design or Videography

 

Qualifications

Job Requirement(s):

  • Candidate to possess a Degree in Marketing or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience is required for this position
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and  listening skills
  • Self-starter individuals with a strong drive to achieve
  • Must have good communication skills and strong command in spoken and written English language
