Job Description

WONGDOODY is hiring a full-time Assistant Media Planner as part of our growing Strategy and Planning team. Successful candidates will excel in day-to-day media operations while working alongside the Media Planner managing upcoming deadlines, prioritizing client requests and most of all flexing their strategic abilities to present sound point of views and media recommendations. This position will be based in our LA office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Workflow
    • Assist Media Planner to execute media campaigns and to manage relationships with external media agency partners and vendors
    • Work directly with internal stakeholders across Accounts, Production, and Creative teams to align on milestone deadlines for campaign launches 
    • Collaborate with project manager to integrate media production into project schedules
    • Support media planner and external ops leads to implement tracking tags and problem-solve any coding or implementation issues  
  • Output examples
    • Pre-Planning: Research, data analysis,
    • Planning: Costouts, RFP, media briefs, flowcharts
    • Buying: Insertion orders, billing tracker
    • Execution: Production grids, asset management, quality assurance testing
    • Stewardship: Proof-of-performance, performance reporting

Qualifications

 

  • Knowledge
    • Media planning and buying (primarily digital, but traditional knowledge is beneficial)
    • Microsoft Excel and Power Point
    • Google DCM ad server
    • Programmatic Demand Side Platform
    • Media performance measurements
    • Google Analytics platform (preferred, but not mandatory)
  • Experience
    • Min. 1-2 years relevant professional experience with a focus on media/advertising
      • Junior level Media Planning/Buying
      • Junior level Account Management
      • Junior level Project management
    • Client-facing experience (preferred, but not mandatory)
  • Skills
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
    • Proactive problem-solving
    • Proficiency in Excel and Keynote/PPT
    • Team-player and maintains a positive attitude in stressful situations 
    • Professionalism demeanor and solid work ethic
    • Maintain high level of productivity with minimal supervision
