Job Description
Team roles and responsibilities: IFRS- IFRS review and analysis- IFRS sign off governance for actuarial result. - Management earnings (base / non-base earnings) – Net investment result analysis- Financial Sensitivities compilation and review. - UKGAAP quarterly estimate for tax calculations SII- OF and SCR PLA analysis- BEL review and analysis- SCR calculation (this is partially split with production)- SII sign off governance for actuarial result- QRT production (1 QRT quarterly and a number for Annuals)- MA PLA analysis and sign off- SFCR actuarial related disclosures LICAT (Canadian Regulatory measure)- A number of template submissions to Canada: o IRR - (Interest rate risk)o CER – (Equity risk) o Insurance risks- Overall analysis of the LICAT ratio - In the future, analysis for splitting ratio between base / non-base earnings (currently performed by AFO). - LICAT sign offUKGAAP- Tech provision analysis (inc. Margin for prudence and review of the illiquidity discount rates - as this is adjusted from SII). - Financial statement notes - Analysis for board papersSkills profileKey Responsibilities • Consolidate, validate and analyse actuarial results across IFRS, Solvency UK, LICAT and UK GAAP reporting bases, identifying and explaining key drivers of movement. • Produce high-quality reporting, commentary and management information to support Executive, Board and regulatory reporting requirements. • Prepare and review profit, liability, capital and risk analyses, ensuring outputs are accurate, complete and insightful. • Support governance and sign-off processes by preparing review packs, reconciliations, documentation and evidence to support key actuarial reporting decisions• Contribute to regulatory and statutory submissions, including templates, disclosures and reporting schedules. • Develop and maintain robust controls, documentation and audit trails across the reporting process. • Work collaboratively with Modelling, Production, Finance, Investment and Risk teams to understand results, investigate issues and deliver reporting requirements.• Identify opportunities to improve, automate and simplify reporting processes, enhancing efficiency and reducing operational risk.
Qualifications
