Deputy Manager - RTR will be responsible for leading and managing Record to Report (RTR) operations for APAC clients, ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely month-end closing, compliance with accounting standards, and achievement of service delivery targets.

The role requires strong people management, stakeholder engagement, process improvement, and governance capabilities to drive operational excellence across RTR processes.Key Responsibilities

RTR Operations Management

• Manage end-to-end RTR activities for APAC entities and clients

.• Ensure timely and accurate completion of: o General Ledger Accounting , Journal Entries and Adjustments, Balance Sheet Reconciliations  Fixed Assets Accounting , Intercompany Accounting, Accruals and Prepaymentso Month-End, Quarter-End, and Year-End Closeo Financial Reporting and Management Reporting

• Review and approve critical accounting entries and reconciliations.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and client-specific requirements.Team Leadership & People Management• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of RTR analysts and associates.

• Conduct performance reviews, coaching sessions, and career development discussions

.• Manage workforce planning, capacity utilization, and shift rosters aligned with APAC operations.

• Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives.Client & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders.

• Conduct governance meetings and business reviews.

• Manage escalations and ensure timely issue resolution.

• Build strong relationships with client finance teams across APAC regions.Service Delivery & Controls

• Monitor SLAs, KPIs, and operational metrics.

• Ensure adherence to quality standards and control frameworks.

• Drive reduction in aged reconciliations, open items, and reporting exceptions.

• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and analysis. Continuous Improvement  

• Identify process improvement and automation opportunities.

• Lead Lean, Six Sigma, and transformation initiatives.

• Standardize processes and implement best practices across accounts.

• Drive productivity and cost optimization programs. Governance & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with SOX, IFRS, GAAP, and organizational policies where applicable.

• Maintain process documentation, SOPs, and control matrices.

• Support risk identification and mitigation activities.

Qualifications

Education• Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.• CA, CMA, CPA, ACCA, or MBA Finance preferred.

Experience• 8-12 years of Finance & Accounting experience.

• Minimum 4-5 years of RTR experience.• At least 2-3 years of team management experience in Shared Services/BPO/Global Business Services environment.

• Experience supporting APAC clients and entities preferred. Competencies

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.

• Transition and transformation experience.

Automation exposure (Power BI, Alteryx, RPA, BlackLine, Cadency).

• Experience managing multiple entities across APAC markets.Success Profile
