Job Description

The Financial Consolidation Manager oversees the global month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial consolidation processes for a multinational organization. This role ensures high-quality consolidated financial statements, adherence to applicable accounting standards (e.g., U.S. GAAP and Local GAAP), and timely delivery of internal and external reporting. The position acts as a key liaison between corporate headquarters and international subsidiaries, driving consistency, compliance, and process improvement across global finance operations. The role is responsible for managing financial close, general ledger, balance sheet, and reporting processes in compliance with U.S. GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements.This position will be responsible for performing and reviewing end-to-end Record to Report (R2R) processes to ensure compliance with the accounting standards (U.S. GAAP), internal controls, and company policies, while driving process improvement and operational excellence across all R2R functions.• Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial results.• Lead and ensure the accuracy of the end-to-end global consolidation process for all international entities, including elimination entries, foreign currency translation, and intercompany reconciliations.• Serve as administrator for SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) system.• Serve as administrator for certain SAP FI-CO functionalities.• Review subsidiary submissions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with policies.• Manage consolidation adjustments, non-controlling interests, joint ventures, and acquisition-related consolidation activities.• Prepare consolidated financial statements and management reporting packages for senior leadership, including cash flow statements.• Analyze trial balances and financial results in local and reporting currencies; investigate variances and resolve discrepancies.• Manage and validate foreign currency revaluation.• Prepare local statutory, governmental, and other external reports.• Maintain accounting records in accordance with U.S. GAAP, corporate policies, and the chart of accounts.• Drive consistency in financial processes across regions.• Ensure strong internal controls over financial reporting.• Act as the primary point of contact for regional finance teams regarding consolidation and reporting matters, including local statutory reporting requirements.• Collaborate with Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and Corporate Accounting on cross-functional financial matters.• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.• Perform and approve balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations; ensure completeness, accuracy, and timely resolution of open items.• Prepare monthly balance sheet review materials and communicate key findings to management.• Prepare schedules and record prepayments and amortization, including intangible assets and debt issuance costs.• Collaborate with Treasury on daily and monthly cash reporting, including payment discounts.• Support tax accounting processes, including deferred taxes, local taxes, provisions, and adjustments.• Manage intercompany postings, allocations, invoicing, reconciliations, and eliminations.• Ensure alignment with transfer pricing policies and support related documentation requirements.• Prepare audit schedules and support quarterly reviews and annual audits.• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SOX, internal controls, and company accounting policies.• Maintain and improve process and control documentation within assigned areas.• Develop, refine, and implement accounting procedures to improve efficiency, accuracy, and automation.• Provide accounting guidance and support to project managers, operations teams, and other business partners.• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by management.• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for assigned areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required; CPA, CA, or Master’s degree in related field strongly preferred.• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in U.S. GAAP consolidation, reporting, and corporate accounting.• Experience in a multinational corporation and strong understanding of complex accounting and consolidation issues are required.• Hands-on expertise with SAP BPC is required.• Proficiency in SAP (ECC 6.0 and/or S4) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with all levels of management• Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a global, fast-paced, and performance driven environment.• Adaptable, self-directed, and able to thrive in a rapidly changing environment.• Previous management experience is required.
