Job Description
This role leads to the development of category strategies, drives sourcing execution, ensures alignment with broader COE priorities, and collaborates with other Category Managers to deliver consistent outcomes across the COE.
Key Responsibilities :
Category Management:
- Manage higher-impact or more complex COE categories (e.g., Facilities, Fleet, I&T, MRO, Office Supplies, PPE, Travel etc.) with distributed spend and multi-stakeholder influence.
- Lead the development, maintenance, and execution of category strategies and sourcing plans across a portfolio of COE-designated categories.
- Conduct spend analysis, opportunity assessments, and project prioritization across COE categories.
- Monitor category performance, supplier dynamics, and compliance levels, recommending strategic improvements..
Sourcing Execution:
- Lead end-to-end sourcing activities – including market analysis, RFx development, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and recommendation presentations.
- Ensure sourcing events follow client policies, governance frameworks, and documentation standards.
- Drive supplier base optimization, increase compliance, and enhance value delivery.
- Partner with cross-functional and cross-regional teams to ensure consistent delivery of COE services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience is required, MBA preferred
- 8–12+ years of experience in procurement, category management, sourcing execution, or procurement consulting; COE or managed services experience preferred.
- Proven ability to independently develop and execute category strategies for high-impact or complex categories.
- Advanced negotiation skills, including multi-round commercial discussions and complex supplier interactions.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
- Expertise in an Indirect procurement category is preferred, such as HR, IT, Marketing, Travel, Facilities, MRO, Professional Services, or other related categories
