Full Job DescriptionPosition Summary:This position entails a unique set of key duties and day-to -day tasks; would involve a relatively high degree of responsibilities for the business and other stakeholders. The Deputy Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the department to include the processing, underwriting, closing, disbursing and servicing. The Deputy Manager will work closely with other teams to ensure successful alignment to goal achievement. The job holder is expected to have deep understanding of US residential mortgage underwriting function. Responsibilities:• Overseeing functions within the teams to assure consistency and accuracy. • Supervises and expedites the workflow by assigning the personnel necessary to meet schedule requirements. Monitors production levels and makes necessary adjustments to ensure a smooth workflow at a maximum output.• Provides responses and information to higher management and onshore partners• To ensure team meets daily SLA, production and qualify requirement• Establish peer-to-peer relationships with in the team• Ensure complete, transparent and frequent communication with the team and other stakeholder• Adhere to the communication plan and rigor as agreed with the business• To coach and provide feedback to team members and front line managers who are not meeting their targets or meeting the threshold• To help team members to resolve queries and provide floor support. To identify process gaps and suggest improvement measures.• Maintain confidentiality of all customer and employee information• Respond positively to feedback and redirection• Fully utilize systems, tools, training, and resources provided to maximize potential• Assist other departments as neededQualifications Education: Bachelors in any stream.Experience: 5-7 years’ increasingly responsible experience in US Mortgage underwritingKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:• Experienced mortgage professional with 5-6 years’ experience in underwriting with 2+ years’ experience in team management thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes. • Has working knowledge of real estate lending criteria and federal, state, and agency compliance• Has 3-5 years’ experience of team management • Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes. • Has working knowledge of real estate lending criteria and federal, state, and agency compliance• Can multi-task and manage time efficiently• Has strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and basic Microsoft Office skills• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.• Strong organization and verbal and written communications skills.• Highly adaptive and open to changes as the organization grows and its needs evolve.

Qualifications
