Job Description
• Domain knowledge of F&A processes.§ Manage the general accounting processes including journal entry preparation and approval, account reconciliations, month-end close procedures, consolidations, etc.§ Provide timely and accurate financial information and analysis to support both internal and external reporting in accordance with statutory or government reporting guidelines§ Clear understanding of Customer needs. Contribute in client/customer reviews/meetings§ Actively participate in transition and put systems and audit requirements in place from startup stage§ Initiate best practice sharing across the team. Performs autonomously, initiates and manages complex, departmental and/or cross- company work.§ Follow appraisal and feedback mechanism. Do goal setting with the team and ensure effective and measurable reviews and feedback mechanisms§ Drive and mentor Continuous Improvement projects (Lean and Six sigma based)§ Successfully handles most non-routine issues, escalates to management on a timely manner, issues that cannot be resolved§ Support the timely reporting of key financial information and monitor the performance and quality of the activities performed based on agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)§ Adaptable to learn new processes, concepts, and skills§ Demonstrates the ability to work as part of a team§ Complies with all client published policies and procedures and any legal and regulatory requirements that the company is obliged to adhere to should be able to drive the team to identify issues proactively and address these before these are picked by the stakeholders. He/she should be able to demonstrate critical thinking in difficult situations to provide the optimum solutions to the team and the stakeholders. The group manager should be capable to work under heavy pressure and deliver while ensuring the team motivation at a high level. He/she should be able to negotiate effectively and be comfortable in delegating and empowering the team members• Maintain a strong relationship with all the stakeholders• Critically think and provide solutions to the team and stakeholders• Support the WNS strategy implementation• Support the team to make key business decisions• Manage the attrition in the team using various strategies• Develop and drive a team strategy to create value additions to the client• Resolve any conflicts in the team promptly• Actively come up with strategies to grow operations with the support of the senior management• Provide any MI/Analysis/Opinion to the senior management on key aspects of the business• Maintain confidentiality in all key business decisions when required• Set the KPIs for each individual and monitor the results• Increase the motivation of the team by engaging them with various activities• Identify the automation opportunities to increase the efficiency and reduce the number of FTEs• Achieve the overall SLA for the team to avoid financial losses to WNS
Qualifications
Qualified from an Internationally recognized accounting body or a university (ACA/ACMA/ACCA/CPA(Australia)/Bachelor’s degree).• Any relevant Finance Degree with Min 8 Years of relevant experienceSoft Skills• Excellent data analytical skills• Decision making ability & Attention to detail• Customer Centricity & Professional mannerism• Agility and Adaptability• Should be Proficient in Microsoft office package (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) to delivery day to day operational tasks6 to 8 years of relevant experience
