Job Description

Your role will include:

  • Selection of strategic suppliers who have the ability to meet all delivery, quality, new product development and competitiveness requirements
  •  Manage supplier relationships for assigned commodities while developing & implementing cost reduction programs and improving upon ordering and inventory control practices
  • Development, coordination and negotiation of supply agreements and contracts
  • Develop industry, product and supply base knowledge, including key cost drivers
  • Complete & communicate supplier performance reviews
  •  Manage continuous improvement programs with suppliers:
  • Provide assistance in the resolution of discrepant material through coordination with internal departments and suppliers
  • Manage the flow of goods by providing the necessary guidance & assistance to stakeholders Primary lead in supplier cost negotiations, cost reduction and cost containment
  • Project management
  • Administer and complete special projects as assigned.
  • Assist in the development & implementation of system and procedural enhancements which will streamline the procurement process by removing time and/or costs from the procurement process
  • Facilitate the communication between suppliers and end users/stakeholders.
